4L Oilfield Services is seeking an experienced HVAC / Electrical Technician to support our oilfield operations, company facilities, man camps, houses, shops, and related properties in South Texas.
We are looking for a well-rounded, hands-on technician who is comfortable working on both HVAC systems and electrical equipment. This is not strictly a residential HVAC position or strictly an electrician position. The ideal candidate will have experience troubleshooting and repairing everything from residential air-conditioning systems and 120/240V electrical circuits to 480V three-phase oilfield equipment, electric motors, pumps, VFDs/drives, and controls.
This position is a good fit for someone who enjoys variety, can troubleshoot problems independently, and is comfortable working in both oilfield and facility environments.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, service, and maintain residential and light-commercial HVAC systems.
- Troubleshoot air-conditioning and heating systems at company houses, man camps, offices, shops, and other facilities.
- Perform routine HVAC preventative maintenance, including filters, coils, condensers, evaporators, thermostats, motors, capacitors, contactors, refrigerant issues, and related components.

- Troubleshoot electric motors, pumps, motor starters, contactors, disconnects, breakers, control circuits, and related equipment.
- Troubleshoot and assist with VFDs / variable frequency drives and other motor controls.
- Install and replace electrical equipment, wiring, conduit, panels, breakers, disconnects, fixtures, receptacles, and related components as qualified and permitted.
- Perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting on oilfield equipment and facility systems.
- Assist with pump installations, electrical hookups, control wiring, and equipment commissioning.
- Identify equipment failures and determine whether components should be repaired or replaced.
- Perform preventative maintenance to reduce equipment downtime and emergency repairs.
- Respond to HVAC and electrical service calls throughout company operations.
- Maintain company tools, service vehicle, parts, and materials.
- Keep accurate records of repairs and preventative maintenance performed.
- Follow all company safety policies and applicable electrical, HVAC, and oilfield safety requirements.
- Coordinate with operations personnel, vendors, and contractors when additional support is required.
