Lead Fire Alarm Technician

Full-time | $25–$38/hour based on experience, licenses, and skills
Royal Group is a third-generation Vermont company. We design, install, and service commercial fire alarm and life-safety systems across Vermont and parts of New Hampshire, including Honeywell / Gamewell-FCI and related low-voltage work.
What you’ll do
- Install, service, inspect, and troubleshoot fire alarm and related low-voltage systems
- Read drawings and apply NFPA, Life Safety Code, and NEC requirements
- Run jobs in the field, document work, and keep the office and scheduling team updated
- Work directly with customers on site and close out issues cleanly
- Use hand and power tools safely; work from ladders and overhead as needed
Required
- Positive team mentality
- Reliable, consistent, on time
- Vermont Journeyman Electrician license
- Type S and/or TQP license
- 4+ years of fire alarm or electrical experience
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to pass a background check
- Able to lift 100 lbs and work on ladders / overhead
Preferred
- Vermont Master Electrician license
- Lead or foreman experience
- Gamewell-FCI / Honeywell fire alarm experience
Schedule
Monday–Friday. Flexible 4x10 or 5x8 schedule.
On-call rotation.
