Job Overview
We are actively seeking skilled Welders to join our dynamic fabrication and construction teams. This role involves performing precise welding operations on various metal materials, adhering to safety protocols and industry standards. Duties
- Execute welding procedures using techniques such as MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) on different metal materials including sheet metal and structural components.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to ensure accurate assembly and fabrication.
- Measure and mark materials precisely using calipers, micrometers, measuring instruments, and shop math to meet project specifications.
- Operate power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and rigging equipment to cut, shape, and assemble metal parts.
- Perform pipe threading, ductwork fabrication, and sheet metal fabrication tasks with attention to detail.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and OSHA standards.
- Collaborate with team members on mechanical fabrication projects, including assembly and installation of components.
- Use schematics and technical manuals for troubleshooting and ensuring compliance with ASME codes & standards.
- Assist in machining operations or soldering tasks as required for specific projects.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working on construction sites or in fabrication shops involving metalworking activities.
- Demonstrated proficiency in welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW, and gas metal arc welding.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and interpret mechanical blueprints accurately.
- Familiarity with measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools.
- Mechanical knowledge of fabrication processes including pipe threading, plasma cutting, press brake operation, and sheet metal fabrication.
- Experience with rigging, machining operations, soldering, and working with schematics is preferred.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to welding environments and construction sites.
- Basic math skills for shop math calculations related to measurements and material estimations.
- Knowledge of ASME codes & standards for pressure vessels or piping is advantageous.
- Ability to operate hand tools and power tools efficiently while maintaining safety standards.
