Role Description This full-time, on-site Journeyman Plumber role is based in Marlborough, MA. The Journeyman Plumber will install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems and fixtures in residential and light commercial settings, including water heaters and piping associated with energy efficiency projects. Daily responsibilities include diagnosing plumbing issues, performing scheduled maintenance, completing service calls, and collaborating with HVAC and energy assessment teams to support integrated home improvement solutions. The role involves reading and interpreting plans and specifications, ensuring work complies with relevant codes and safety standards, and documenting work performed. The Journeyman Plumber also interacts directly with customers, explaining work, answering questions, and providing a professional, courteous service experience.
Qualifications
- Strong plumbing skills and knowledge of plumbing systems, fixtures, and code-compliant installations.
- Experience working with pipe systems, including cutting, fitting, and joining various piping materials.
- Proficiency in maintenance and repair tasks, including troubleshooting, routine maintenance, and corrective repairs.
- Ability to perform general maintenance functions related to integrated HVAC and energy efficiency projects.
- Demonstrated customer service skills, including clear communication, reliability, and respectful interaction on-site.
- Valid Journeyman Plumber license in Massachusetts and a valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
- Comfort working in homes and businesses, including attics, basements, and confined spaces, following all safety protocols.
- Ability to lift and move equipment as required and work on ladders or scaffolding when needed.
- Prior experience in residential or light commercial plumbing; experience in energy efficiency or HVAC environments is a plus.
- Commitment to teamwork, punctuality, and maintaining accurate job documentation and reports.
