Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, gas piping systems, and drainage in various settings.
- Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to execute projects accurately.
- Use hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, and welding techniques to complete installations efficiently.
- Ensure all work adheres to local building codes, plumbing building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Perform routine maintenance and repair of plumbing systems to prevent issues and extend system longevity.
- Collaborate with construction teams on remodeling projects or new builds, supporting carpentry and HVAC integration when needed.
- Conduct heavy lifting safely during pipe installation or system assembly while following proper safety protocols.
Requirements
- Proven construction site experience with a strong background in residential or commercial plumbing projects.
- Valid journeyman plumber license or equivalent certification demonstrating comprehensive plumbing knowledge.
- Experience with blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and understanding construction plans.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, welding techniques, and gas piping systems.
- Knowledge of local building codes related to plumbing systems and mechanical installations.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations essential for measurements and material estimations.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
- Physical capability for heavy lifting, working at heights or confined spaces as required on construction sites.
