About 3R Plumbing & Mechanical
3R is a veteran-owned residential HVAC and plumbing company serving 21 towns on the South Shore. We install and service boilers, furnaces, heat pumps, water heaters and plumbing systems, and we're growing fast. We're looking for someone to take full ownership of our warehouse and inventory, and to build the systems that keep our crews stocked, our trucks full and our material costs under control.
What You'll Do
- Own the warehouse: layout, labeling, organization, cleanliness and safety
- Build and maintain our stock program: set min/max levels, reorder points and order quantities for shop and truck stock
- Place purchase orders and manage relationships with our suppliers (Ferguson, FW Webb, Johnstone, HD Supply and others), including pricing, lead times, backorders and credits
- Run inventory in ServiceTitan: set it up correctly, keep counts accurate, and track receipts, transfers and parts used on jobs
- Do regular cycle counts and full physical counts, and find and fix shrinkage and discrepancies
- Stage and check equipment and materials for install jobs, working with sales and install so everything is on site when the crew arrives
- Set up and manage a truck stock program, with regular restocks and audits for every service vehicle
- Handle returns, warranty parts, cores and supplier credits so money doesn't get left on the table
- Receive equipment deliveries and schedule jobsite drops
- Supervise and train warehouse and parts support staff as the team grows
- Report to leadership on inventory value, stock outs and purchasing costs, and recommend improvements
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years in warehouse, inventory or purchasing, ideally in the trades, a supply house or a service company
- Solid knowledge of plumbing and HVAC materials and equipment, or the ability to learn them quickly
- Experience with inventory software (ServiceTitan strongly preferred)
- Organized and detail-oriented, with a track record of building systems and sticking to them
- Comfortable negotiating with vendors and managing a purchasing budget
- Strong with Excel or Google Sheets
- Valid Massachusetts driver's license with a clean driving record
- Able to lift 75+ lbs and work hands-on in the warehouse
Nice to Have
- Experience setting up a warehouse or inventory system from scratch
- Supply house counter or purchasing experience
- Experience supervising or leading a small team
- Forklift certification
