Overview
WYRE Industries, LLC is seeking an experienced, safety-focused Commercial Electrical Foreman to lead electrical crews on commercial and industrial construction projects. The Electrical Foreman reports directly to the Superintendent and is responsible for overseeing crews of approximately 5–15 journeymen electricians, apprentices, and helpers.
The Foreman is responsible for directing electrical construction activities from layout through installation and completion while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, productivity, and workmanship. This position requires strong leadership, communication, planning, and technical electrical skills, as well as the ability to coordinate effectively with the Superintendent, Project Manager, other trades, vendors, and project personnel.
The successful candidate will ensure electrical work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC), project specifications, applicable standards, and WYRE Industries policies and procedures.
Duties
- Lead and supervise WYRE field trades assigned to an electrical construction crew or project.
- Direct and coordinate the daily activities of journeymen electricians, apprentices, helpers, and subordinate lead personnel.
- Perform working estimates and material take-offs in coordination with the Project Manager, Construction Manager, or direct supervisor.
- Lay out electrical work for subordinate lead personnel and ensure materials, tools, equipment, information, and manpower are available when and where needed.
- Establish work schedules and man-loading plans to maintain productivity and meet project milestones.
- Direct electrical installations, including:
- Electrical feeders
- Switchgear and distribution equipment
- Circuit breaker panels
- Pumps, motors, and generators
- Relays and control equipment
- Lighting fixtures and outlets
- Electrical connections and terminations
- Monitor work in progress and adjust crew assignments and schedules based on jobsite conditions, project requirements, and the pace of other trades.
- Coordinate electrical activities with other trades to minimize conflicts, delays, and rework.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, specifications, and project documentation.
- Ensure electrical installations comply with the NEC, applicable codes, project specifications, and company quality standards.
- Perform electrical work when necessary to maintain production, demonstrate proper installation methods, or provide hands-on instruction and training.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship, productivity, housekeeping, and jobsite organization.
- Communicate project needs, manpower requirements, material requirements, schedule concerns, and field conditions to the Superintendent and Project Manager.
- Complete and oversee required administrative documentation, including daily reports, time sheets, tickets, safety reports, and other project paperwork.
- Enforce all company, client, and project-specific safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure employees are properly trained and instructed before performing assigned duties.
- Promote a proactive safety culture and actively participate in WYRE's safety programs and initiatives.
- Identify, correct, and report unsafe conditions and practices.
- Provide written documentation of safety violations and assist with corrective actions when necessary.
- Investigate or assist with the investigation and reporting of accidents, incidents, injuries, and property damage.
- Maintain communication with safety personnel regarding safety policies, practices, procedures, and jobsite concerns.
- Monitor and document safety-related issues and take appropriate action to eliminate or reduce workplace hazards.
- Provide leadership, mentoring, and technical guidance to assigned personnel.
- Maintain professional working relationships with customers, inspectors, subcontractors, vendors, and other project stakeholders.
Required Education and Experience
- Journeyman Electrician License required.
- Minimum of 6 years of commercial and/or industrial electrical experience.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Current valid driver's license.
- Reliable personal transportation.
- Ability to work safely and effectively in a commercial construction environment.
- Strong knowledge of electrical installation practices and the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to supervise and coordinate crews of approximately 5–15 employees.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Must be able to successfully complete background checks when required for specific jobsites or security clearances.
Preferred Experience
- 2 or more years of experience working as an Electrical Foreman.
- Experience leading commercial and industrial electrical construction crews.
- Experience with project scheduling, manpower planning, material coordination, and field documentation.
Safety
Safety is a core responsibility of the Commercial Electrical Foreman. The Foreman is expected to lead by example and actively promote a safe, professional, and productive jobsite.
Responsibilities include enforcing company and project safety requirements, providing safety instruction and guidance to assigned personnel, identifying and correcting unsafe conditions, documenting safety violations and concerns, participating in safety programs, and assisting with accident and incident investigations.

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 – 60.0 per week
