We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team. Responsibilities
- Install new HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and building automation systems following schematics and design specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure peak performance and energy efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, and plumbing components using hand tools, ohmmeters, and diagnostic equipment.
- Conduct electrical diagnostics to identify issues within electrical systems associated with HVAC equipment.
- Diagnose system failures through detailed equipment troubleshooting and implement effective repair solutions promptly.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design documents to accurately execute installation or repair tasks.
- Maintain detailed service records, reports, and logs of all work performed for accountability and future reference.
Requirements
- Proven construction experience with HVAC system installation, repair, and maintenance in commercial or residential settings.
- Service technician experience with hands-on troubleshooting of HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) systems.
- Strong mechanical knowledge including familiarity with mechanical systems repair and building automation systems.
- Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams accurately; experience with HVAC design is a plus.
- Proficiency in electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters; experience with electrical systems is essential.
- Knowledge of refrigeration principles including ammonia refrigeration is advantageous.
- Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling; additional certifications related to HVAC or plumbing are preferred.
- Experience working with HVAC system repair, maintenance routines, equipment troubleshooting, and system installation projects.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to operate a company van or service vehicle safely.
