Lead Pipe Fitter – Commercial Piping | $40–$45/Hour | Fort Worth, TX
We’re hiring an experienced Lead Pipe Fitter for a commercial project in Fort Worth, Texas. Candidates must have strong commercial piping experience and proven ability to lead crews while performing hands-on layout, fit-up, and installation work.
Position Details
- Wage: $40–$45/hour, based on experience

Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate a pipe fitting crew, assigning daily tasks and maintaining productivity.
- Read blueprints, isometric drawings, and piping specifications to plan installations.
- Measure, cut, bevel, prepare, and fit pipe and fittings.
- Lay out piping systems, including offsets, elevations, and equipment connections.
- Install hangers and supports while maintaining proper alignment and slope.
- Coordinate fit-up with welders and other trades.
- Inspect completed installations and assist with pressure testing and leak checks.
- Communicate progress, material needs, and installation issues to site supervision.
- Maintain safe work practices and quality standards.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of pipe fitting experience, including commercial piping installations.
- Proven experience leading pipe fitting crews, including assigning work and overseeing quality.
- Ability to independently lay out and install piping systems from drawings.
- Strong knowledge of piping measurements, fit-up, fittings, valves, and supports.
- Experience with welded, threaded, and grooved piping connections.
- Ability to identify installation issues and guide the crew through corrections.
- Dependable attendance and clear communication with crew members and site supervision.
