Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Master Contractor/Journeyman Refrigeration License HVAC Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, or troubleshooting a wide range of HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) systems, refrigeration units, and mechanical systems across various commercial and residential properties. Your expertise will ensure optimal system performance, energy efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Duties
- Install, service, and repair HVAC systems, refrigeration units, boilers, and mechanical systems using schematics and technical manuals.
- Diagnose electrical issues through electrical diagnostics tools such as ohmmeters and troubleshoot complex electrical systems within HVAC/R equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance on HVAC equipment including air conditioning units, building automation systems.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately install or repair mechanical and electrical systems.
- Conduct equipment troubleshooting to identify root causes of failures and implement effective repairs promptly.
- Maintain detailed documentation of service activities, repairs performed, parts used, and system performance reports.
- Communicate effectively with customers to explain issues clearly and provide recommendations for ongoing maintenance or upgrades.
- Operate hand tools and specialized equipment safely while adhering to all safety protocols and EPA regulations related to refrigerant handling.
- Drive company vehicles safely between job sites while maintaining vehicle cleanliness and reporting any maintenance needs.
Experience
- Proven experience as a service technician or installer with a strong background in HVAC system repair, installation, and maintenance or installation.
- Construction experience is highly desirable for understanding building integration processes.
- Familiarity with schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals related to HVAC/R systems.
- Hands-on experience with refrigeration systems, boilers, plumbing components, electrical diagnostics, and building automation systems.
- Knowledge of HVAC design principles along with mechanical knowledge of various equipment types including air conditioning units and appliances.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical systems using appropriate tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic instruments.
