Position Overview
Seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Fabricator to join an HVAC duct fabrication shop. The ideal candidate will have experience in HVAC, sheet metal fabrication, construction, or mechanical work. Training on company-specific equipment will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate custom HVAC ductwork and sheet metal components.
- Operate fabrication and machine shop equipment.
- Read job specifications, measurements, and layouts.
- Set up machines and adjust equipment as needed.
- Measure finished work to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Inspect materials and finished products for defects.
- Remove burrs, sharp edges, rust, and scale.
- Perform basic machine maintenance and setup.
- Assist with burning/cutting and other fabrication work.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and productive shop environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- 6 months–5 years of experience in HVAC, sheet metal, construction, or mechanical work.
- Ability to read measurements and use a ruler accurately.
- Ability to use hand tools and fabrication equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid Virginia driver's license.
- Ability to pass required background and pre-employment screening.
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
Pay: $25.17 - $29.00 per hour
