Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding and fabrication processes, with the ability to work with various materials and tools. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to read and interpret schematics. The Fabricator/Welder will play a crucial role in producing high-quality components for our projects.
Duties
- Operate welding equipment, including FCAW and MIG welding machines, to fabricate metal components.
- Utilize press brake machines for bending and shaping materials as per specifications.
- Perform plasma cutting for precise material shaping.
- Assemble ductwork and other metal structures according to project requirements.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to ensure accurate fabrication.
- Use power tools and calipers effectively for measuring and cutting materials.
- Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while following safety protocols.
- Operate forklifts as needed for material handling.
Experience
- Proven experience in welding and fabrication, with proficiency in FCAW, MIG, or TIG welding techniques.
- Familiarity with press brake machines, plasma cutting equipment, and various power tools.
- Experience reading schematics and blueprints is essential.
- Prior experience working with ductwork is a plus.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely is preferred but not mandatory; training may be provided.
Candidates should possess strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
