Lead Oil Burner Technician – Installation & Service

Pay: $30–$50 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Full-Time | 40 Hours per Week + Overtime
On-Call: Rotating On-Call Schedule
Stoneham Fuel is seeking an experienced Lead Oil Burner Technician to our team! We are looking for a skilled, dependable, and motivated professional who can take the lead on oil burner and furnace installations, perform service and repairs, and work directly alongside the company owner to ensure our customers receive exceptional service.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who takes pride in their work, can work independently, troubleshoot heating systems, and help oversee installations and daily service operations.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced technician looking for a long-term position with a well-established local company.

Responsibilities
- Lead and perform oil burner, furnace, and heating system installations.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, service, and repair oil heating equipment.
- Work directly alongside a team to coordinate installations and service calls.
- Provide leadership and guidance to additional technicians and helpers.
- Perform routine maintenance, tune-ups, and emergency heating repairs.
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule for emergency service.
- Ensure all work meets safety standards and applicable codes.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Deliver professional, reliable, and friendly customer service.
Qualifications
- Experience installing, servicing, and repairing oil burners and heating systems.
- Massachusetts Oil Burner Technician License.
- Strong troubleshooting and mechanical skills.
- Ability to work independently and take the lead on installations.
- Leadership skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Ability to safely lift and handle heavy equipment.
- Willingness to participate in a rotating on-call schedule.
- OSHA 10 certification a plus.
- Must live locally to Stoneham, MA or the surrounding area.
