Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable HVAC Service Technician with at least 2 years of hands-on service experience, including refrigeration systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining residential and/or light commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment while delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioners, heat pumps, furnaces, and refrigeration equipment
- Perform routine maintenance and service calls in a timely and professional manner
- Identify and communicate repair/replacement recommendations to customers
- Work on refrigeration systems including reach-ins, walk-ins, and ice machines (if applicable)
- Ensure all work complies with local codes, safety standards, and company policies
- Maintain accurate service records, notes, and documentation
- Communicate clearly with dispatch and customers regarding job status
- Keep company vehicle, tools, and equipment clean and organized
- On call one weekend a month
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of HVAC service experience (required)
- Proven experience with refrigeration systems (required)
- EPA Certification (Universal preferred)
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Willing to be on call atleast one weekend a month
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with residential and/or light commercial service
- NATE certification (a plus)
- Experience using field service software (Housecall Pro)
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs
- Comfortable working in attics, crawl spaces, and outdoor environments
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions
