Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Centerless Grinding Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate and maintain centerless grinding machines to produce precision metal components that meet strict quality standards. Your expertise will ensure efficient production processes, adherence to safety protocols, and the delivery of high-quality finished products. Responsibilities
- Set up and operate centerless grinding machines, ensuring proper tooling, calibration, and alignment for each job.
- Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and shop math to determine specifications and machining requirements.
- Perform precision measurements using measuring instruments and quality inspection tools to verify dimensions and surface finishes.
- Adjust machine settings as needed to maintain optimal performance and meet tight tolerances.
- Conduct routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs on grinding equipment to minimize downtime.
- Follow safety standards in production by adhering to safety protocols, wearing appropriate PPE, and maintaining a clean work area.
- Collaborate with team members on tooling setup, machine operation, and quality control processes to ensure seamless workflow.
Experience or willing to train the right candidate
- Proven experience operating centerless grinding machines in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately.
- Familiarity with CNC programming, CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting, and other machining techniques is a plus.
- Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), shop math, and measurement of precision parts.
- Experience with various manufacturing equipment such as press brake machines, CNC lathes, milling machines, stamping presses, welding tools, forming machines, and sheet metal fabrication tools.
- Understanding of safety standards related to machine operation and metalworking processes.
- Ability to use hand tools, measuring instruments, tooling setups, and quality inspection devices effectively.

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 – 50.0 per week
