Job Description
RRI Personnel Solutions is seeking a skilled Power HVAC Mechanic (Service Technician II) for a temporary or long-term opportunity with a leading equipment services provider. This role is ideal for someone with experience maintaining and repairing diesel engines, HVAC systems, and industrial equipment.
The successful candidate will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical issues, and complete minor repairs while maintaining a safe, professional, and customer-focused work environment. This position also offers opportunities to develop technical skills and advance into higher-level service technician roles.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, HVAC systems, dehumidification equipment, air purification systems, and other related equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and diesel-powered systems.
- Inspect equipment and identify issues requiring maintenance or repair.
- Complete accurate service reports and maintenance documentation.
- Travel occasionally to customer locations to provide equipment support and service.
- Demonstrate equipment operation and proper usage to customers.
- Assist with the pickup and delivery of equipment, tools, and parts as needed.
- Follow all workplace safety procedures and equipment handling guidelines.
- Provide excellent customer service and collaborate with team members.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- One to two years of experience maintaining or repairing diesel engines, HVAC systems, or similar equipment.
- Working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and diesel systems.
- Ability to diagnose equipment issues and perform basic to intermediate repairs.
- Basic ability to read and understand technical schematics and diagrams.
- Must have the tools required to perform the job.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, teamwork, and customer service skills.
- Ability to frequently lift up to 45 pounds.
- Ability to follow safety procedures and work responsibly around mechanical and powered equipment.
Compensation
- Pay Range: $22.00–$53.00 per hour.
- Actual pay will depend on relevant experience, technical skills, training, qualifications, and job requirements.
