Project Execution and Trade Coordination
· Coordinate field activities with the Electrical Project Manager, General Contractor Superintendent, inspectors, engineers, vendors, subcontractors, and other trades.
· Prepare and maintain two-week and three-week look-ahead plans for manpower, materials, equipment, inspections, shutdowns, and work areas.
· Coordinate electrical rough-in with structural, mechanical, plumbing, fire alarm, low-voltage, security, ceiling, and equipment-installation work.
· Verify sleeves, embeds, underground routes, housekeeping pads, equipment clearances, access requirements, and ceiling-space coordination before installation.
· Coordinate shutdowns, energization, tie-ins, temporary power, occupied-space work, utility activities, and required inspections.
· Escalate design, access, sequencing, predecessor-work, or trade conflicts before they affect cost or schedule.
Electrical Installation and Technical Responsibilities

· Diagnose complex field conditions and develop practical, code-compliant solutions in coordination with project management and design professionals.
Labor and Productivity Management
· Review labor budgets, production targets, and planned installation methods with the Project Manager before each major phase.
· Plan manpower needs and track installed quantities and labor hours by phase, system, area, floor, or cost code.
· Compare actual field productivity with planned performance, identify overruns early, and recommend corrective action.
· Minimize downtime caused by missing materials, incomplete predecessor work, inadequate information, access restrictions, or poor sequencing.
· Coordinate requested manpower increases or reductions with project management.
· Review field timekeeping for accuracy and ensure labor is charged to the correct project, phase, and activity, subject to company approval procedures.
Material, Tool, and Equipment Control
· Prepare material takeoffs, forecasts, and release requests based on the approved schedule and upcoming work.
· Coordinate approved purchasing and deliveries with adequate lead time to avoid crew downtime and excess onsite inventory.
· Inspect deliveries for quantity, damage, and compliance with approved submittals; promptly report shortages or discrepancies.
· Maintain secure, orderly storage for wire, gear, fixtures, devices, tools, test equipment, and other high-value materials.
· Track company tools, ladders, lifts, gang boxes, test equipment, and rental equipment; report loss, damage, or unsafe conditions.
· Coordinate rental start and return dates to avoid unnecessary expense.
Quality Control
· Inspect work for compliance with approved drawings, specifications, the NEC, manufacturer instructions, and company workmanship standards.
· Establish benchmark installations or mockups before repetitive work begins when appropriate.
· Verify conduit routing and support, conductor sizing, labeling, access, working clearances, grounding, bonding, torque requirements, and equipment protection.
· Maintain accurate redline drawings showing routing, circuit and panel changes, underground work, concealed conditions, and installed configurations.
