Proficiency in Autocad 2D & Fusion is REQUIRED. Do Not Apply if you are not proficient.
We’re looking for a detail-oriented CAD Designer / Drafter to help develop, refine, and standardize our vehicle designs as we continue to expand our product lineup.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on product development, understands how things are actually built, and has an interest in the outdoor, overlanding, or adventure vehicle industry.
Primary Responsibilities
A major focus of this position will be transitioning our existing 2D CAD drawings and SketchUp designs into detailed, production-ready Fusion 360 3D models.
* Convert existing 2D CAD drawings and SketchUp files into accurate Fusion 360 3D models and assemblies.
* Build and maintain a standardized library of 3D components, cabinetry, assemblies, and vehicle systems.
* Develop detailed production drawings, dimensions, and manufacturing documentation.
* Design and refine cabinetry, interior components, mounting systems, and vehicle-specific parts.
* Create and maintain bills of materials (BOMs) and component documentation.
* Work directly with our production and fabrication teams to ensure designs are practical, efficient, and repeatable.
* Identify opportunities to simplify manufacturing, improve fitment, reduce production time, and standardize components across vehicle models.
* Update existing designs based on real-world manufacturing feedback.
* Help establish consistent CAD file organization, naming conventions, and revision control.
Required Qualifications
* Minimum 3 years of professional CAD drafting or design experience.
* Experience with 2D CAD software and 3D modeling.
* Working proficiency in Autodesk Fusion 360.
* Ability to interpret existing drawings, dimensions, and design files and translate them into accurate 3D models.
* Understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, tolerances, and assembly methods.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to independently manage design projects.
* Ability to work collaboratively with fabrication and production teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Candidates with cabinetry experience and an interest in the outdoor industry will receive strong preference.
* Background in cabinet design, woodworking, millwork, or CNC cabinetry manufacturing.
* Experience designing products for RVs, camper vans, automotive, marine, or other space-constrained applications.
* Familiarity with SketchUp and AutoCAD.
* Experience designing sheet goods, aluminum cabinetry, brackets, and fabricated metal components.
* Knowledge of CNC routers, laser cutting, sheet metal fabrication, or other manufacturing processes.
* Experience creating parametric models and reusable component libraries in Fusion 360.
* Personal interest in camping, overlanding, off-roading, adventure vehicles, or the outdoor recreation industry.
What We’re Looking For
We’re not looking for someone who simply makes drawings look good. We need someone who understands how components fit together, how they’re manufactured, and how thoughtful design can improve production.
The right candidate will help us turn years of existing designs into an organized, accurate, and scalable 3D design system.
Someone with cabinetry or manufacturing experience who enjoys camping, building things, and working around adventure vehicles would be an excellent fit.
Compensation & Benefits
* Competitive compensation based on experience and qualifications.
* Full-time position working with our design and production teams.
* Opportunity to contribute directly to new vehicle designs and product development.
* Collaborative, hands-on manufacturing environment.
* Opportunity for professional growth as our product lines expand.
How to Apply
Please submit your resume along with examples of relevant CAD or 3D design work.
We strongly encourage applicants to include examples of cabinetry, fabrication, or Fusion 360 projects.
