Lead Electrician

North Olmsted/Cleveland, OH

Bright Point Electric, LLC is now hiring a full-time Lead Electrician to join our team!

We're looking for a Lead Electrician to run jobs from start to finish. You'll lead a crew of 1–3 electricians and apprentices, turn plans into a clear daily game plan, and be the main point of contact for the customer on site.

This role is for someone who knows the trade and takes ownership: you keep the job moving, keep the office in the loop, and leave customers confident in the work.

Schedule:

Monday – Friday (No mandatory weekends)
8AM – 4PM with paid lunch break
Average of 40 hours/week

What you’ll need:

5 years experience preferred
Diagnostic abilities and technical skills
Able to read and work from electrical plans, drawings, and specs
Clear, professional communication with customers, the office, and crew
Personal vehicle with good driving record
Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen

As a Lead Electrician, you will:

Run day-to-day work on residential and commercial jobs with a crew of 1–3 electricians and apprentices
Assign tasks, set daily priorities, and keep the job on schedule.
Train and mentor apprentices on safe, code-compliant installation practices
Ensure job site safety, PPE, and a clean, organized work area
Read and interpret electrical blueprints, panel schedules, wiring diagrams and specs
Install service, distribution, branch circuits, lighting, and controls to NEC and local code
Troubleshoot and resolve problems in the field, escalating design or scope issues early
Coordinate inspections with the office and make sure work passes
Communicate with the office and support staff about the job needs ahead of time: material orders, tools, extra labor, and schedule changes
Flag change orders, extra work, or delays before they become problems
Serve as the on-site point of contact for customers, GCs, and other trades
Walk customers through the scope, schedule, and any changes in plain language
Represent the company professionally and leave every job site clean
