Position Summary: AGT Robotics welders are specialized, intelligent robotic systems designed for automated structural steel fabrication. They are used to weld complex, high-mix, low-volume components—such as beams, columns, and trusses—without requiring manual programming. Using CAD data and vision systems, they automate welding, boosting productivity and consistency in heavy fabrication shops.

We have an opening on each shift. First shift employees have three options to choose from: 5:00am – 3:30pm, 6:00am – 4:30pm, or 7:00am – 5:30pm. Monday – Thursday. Fridays have two options: the first half of the shift is mandatory while the second half is voluntary, or employees work every other Friday. Second shift operates from 3:30pm – 3:00am, Monday - Thursday. Fridays are voluntary. Second shift employees receive a night shift premium of $1.60/hour effective immediately. No weekends for either shift.

Position Requirements and Job Duties include but are not limited to:

Verify conformance of work pieces to specifications, using squares, rulers, and measuring tapes
Reads and correctly interprets basic information on blueprints
Knows and follows correct use of lifting chains and clamps. Move parts into position, manually or by using hoists or cranes
Knowledge in set-up and adjustment of welding equipment
Knowledge in welding machine repair, lead changing, tip replacement, wire changing, consumable inventory and general machine maintenance
Quality of welding meets company quality requirements
Proficient at welding basic structural beams
Has successfully completed 2G MAW 1/16” weld test
Knows how to correctly use hand grinders and air arcs
Ability to use/read tape measures and fractions
Ability to focus on accuracy and quality
Follow and enforce all safety and company policies/procedures
Consistently maintains acceptable production level for skill level
A minimum of 2 years of experience in a welding/fabrication environment preferred
Basic computer skills
Have and maintain good attendance

Pay: $54,990.00 - $60,320.00 per year
