About Us

SOS Plumbing & Heating is a small, family-owned plumbing and heating company serving Rhode Island. We currently operate three trucks and are continuing to grow as we head into the heating season.

We are looking for a reliable, licensed Journeyman Plumber, Pipefitter, or Master-level tradesperson to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong plumbing, heating, and boiler knowledge who wants to grow with a fast-expanding local company.

Responsibilities

The selected candidate will perform plumbing and heating work in residential and light commercial settings, including but not limited to:

Assemble, install, alter, and repair piping systems for water, steam, air, gas, and heating applications
Install, service, and troubleshoot boilers, hydronic heating systems, and related mechanical controls
Read and interpret blueprints, job specifications, and applicable plumbing/mechanical codes
Inspect, test, diagnose, and repair piping systems and related equipment
Maintain accurate job records, notes, and documentation
Lead, train, and assist apprentices or helpers as needed
Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment
Communicate professionally with customers, team members, and management

Requirements

Valid Rhode Island Journeyman Plumber, Pipefitter, or Master license required
High school diploma or GED required; trade school or technical training preferred
Clean driving record; DMV/RMV check required
Background check required
Boiler and hydronic heating experience strongly preferred
Must be reliable, professional, and able to work independently or as part of a team
Must be able to follow company procedures, job notes, and safety standards

Schedule
