Southern Equipment is seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC/R Service Technicians to join our growing service team. We specialize in commercial refrigeration and HVAC services for grocery stores, restaurants, and commercial facilities. This position will be based in the greater Jacksonville market.

This position focuses primarily on commercial refrigeration and HVAC service, including troubleshooting and repairing equipment in the field.

What You'll Work On

· Walk-in coolers and freezers

· Process and comfort cooling chillers

· Reach-in refrigeration

· Supermarket rack systems

· Ice machines

· Rooftop units (RTUs)

· Split systems

· Condensing units and evaporators

Essential Functions

· Diagnose and repair commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems

· Perform preventive maintenance and service work

· Troubleshoot electrical, refrigeration, and mechanical issues

· Replace components such as compressors, fan motors, contactors, sensors, and controls

· Document service calls with clear notes and photos Communicate parts needs and repair recommendations with the office

· Maintain safety and quality standards

· Participate in on-call rotation

Qualifications

3+ years HVAC/R experience preferred
Experience with commercial refrigeration strongly preferred
EPA Certification
Valid driver’s license
Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical schematics
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
Demonstrated ability to work independently in the field
Must pass drug test, background check and meet insurer’s driver eligibility requirements
