Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled TIG / MIG Welder to join our manufacturing and construction support team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing high-quality welding operations using Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) and Metal Inert Gas (MIG) techniques on various metal components. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience with fabrication, blueprint reading, and the use of hand and power tools. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to diverse projects, including structural steel, ductwork, piping, and sheet metal assemblies, ensuring adherence to safety standards and quality specifications. Key responsibilities include interpreting schematics and technical drawings, executing precise welds on different materials, and supporting fabrication processes across construction sites and manufacturing environments. Your mechanical knowledge, familiarity with ASME codes & standards, and ability to operate specialized equipment such as plasma cutters and press brake machines will be essential for success in this role.

Duties

Perform TIG and MIG welding on various metals including steel, aluminum, and specialty alloys following detailed blueprints and schematics.
Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and welding symbols accurately.
Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments to ensure precision in fabrication.
Execute welding tasks on sheet metal, ductwork, piping systems, and structural components adhering to safety protocols.
Support fabrication activities such as plasma cutting, press brake operations, pipe threading, and assembly tasks.
Maintain equipment including welding machines, plasma cutters, rigging gear, and other fabrication tools.
Follow ASME codes & standards to ensure all welds meet industry quality requirements.
Assist with rigging operations involving cranes or forklifts for material handling.
Conduct basic math calculations related to measurements, material quantities, or weld sizes.
Support construction projects by providing mechanical knowledge for installation or assembly tasks.
Maintain a clean work environment while adhering to safety regulations at all times.
