Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Precision Sheet Metal Fabricator/Welder to join our team. This role is essential to the production of high-quality precision metal components and assemblies for customers across multiple industries, including aerospace. The ideal candidate will bring strong sheet metal fabrication experience, TIG welding proficiency (especially on aluminum), and the ability to work independently while collaborating with a team to ensure products are delivered on time with zero defects.

Duties

Operate and maintain welding equipment, with emphasis on TIG welding aluminum and other metals; MIG welding also required.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD designs to fabricate and assemble precision components accurately.
Utilize press brakes, Amada punch presses, and other sheet metal machinery to produce high-quality parts.
Perform grinding, deburring, hardware insertion, and finishing operations to meet strict specifications.
Conduct in-process and final quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, and gauges in compliance with ISO 9001/AS9100 standards.
Collaborate with team members to optimize fabrication processes, improve efficiency, and maintain high standards of quality.
Safely handle materials and maintain an organized, efficient work environment.
Support packaging and documentation of finished products for delivery to customers.

Skills

Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in precision sheet metal fabrication.
Proven ability to TIG weld aluminum with precision and consistency (required).
Proficiency in MIG welding and familiarity with fabrication processes including grinding, deburring, and finishing.
Experience operating press brakes, punch presses, and other sheet metal machinery (Amada equipment experience preferred).
Strong knowledge of ISO 9001/AS9100 quality systems and adherence to inspection/documentation protocols.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD designs accurately.
Skilled in using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
