Summary

Stafford Mechanical Services is looking to grow our team with talented, hardworking, motivated licensed HVAC Installers for residential and light commercial projects.

As a licensed HVAC Installer at Stafford Mechanical, you will be responsible for the installation and replacement of a variety of HVAC systems in residential and light commercial settings. Projects will include ductless mini-splits, AC coils, condensers, furnaces (gas, propane, and oil furnaces), associated AC piping, gas piping, low-voltage wiring, and controls. You’ll lead installations with a high level of independence while collaborating with our seasoned team and mentoring apprentices.

What You’ll Do:

Perform full HVAC system installations, including piping, electrical, control systems, etc.
Install and replace systems such as ductless mini-splits, A/C coils, condensers, gas and propane hot air furnaces, and oil-fired furnaces.
Complete AC piping, low-voltage wiring, and control system setup
Work independently and/or lead small crews on job sites
Maintain clean, code-compliant work that reflects our high standards
Coordinate with project managers to ensure jobs run smoothly

Responsibilities

System Installation
Install HVAC systems including ductless mini-splits, coils, condensers, furnaces, and associated piping

Jobsite Execution

Follow mechanical plans and equipment specifications
Collaborate with project managers and team leads to stay on schedule
Maintain organized and safe work environments

Safety & Compliance

Follow all OSHA and company safety guidelines
Ensure all work is performed to code and meets inspection standards

Team Collaboration

Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors
Take pride in your work and support a culture of craftsmanship and accountability
Complete electrical connections, low-voltage wiring, and controls setup

Requirements

Valid HVAC license in the state of Connecticut
2-5+ years of experience in residential or light commercial HVAC installations
Experience with AC piping, low-voltage wiring, and HVAC controls
Familiarity with a wide range of HVAC equipment: mini-splits, furnaces, condensers, etc.
Ability to read blueprints and mechanical diagrams
Valid driver's license (company vehicle provided for lead installers)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $38.00 - $47.00 per hour
