Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Stainless Pipe Welder to join our dynamic fabrication team. In this role, you will be responsible for welding stainless steel pipes and components with precision and adherence to industry standards. Your expertise will ensure the integrity and quality of metal fabrications used in construction, manufacturing, and industrial projects. Responsibilities

Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine welding requirements and specifications.
Perform stainless steel pipe welding using various techniques including FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) in accordance with AWS (American Welding Society) standards and ASME codes.
Measure and mark materials accurately using calipers, micrometers, measuring instruments, and shop math to ensure precise fabrication.
Prepare pipes and metal components by cutting, grinding, fitting, and aligning parts utilizing plasma cutters, press brake machines, power tools, and sheet metal fabrication equipment.
Rigging, pipe threading, assembly, and welding of ductwork or other metal structures on construction sites or fabrication shops.
Maintain safety protocols at all times by adhering to OSHA guidelines, properly using hand tools and power tools, and ensuring a safe working environment.
Conduct quality checks on welds through visual inspection and measuring instruments to verify compliance with specifications.
Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship.

Experience

Proven construction site experience with a strong background in metal fabrication and pipe welding.
Hands-on experience with various welding techniques including FCAW, MIG, TIG, SMAW, and gas metal arc welding.
Familiarity with blueprint reading, interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and mechanical blueprints.
Knowledge of ASME codes & standards related to pipe fabrication and welding practices.
Experience operating rigging equipment, pipe threading tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, forklifts, machining tools, and other shop machinery.
Ability to use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, tape measures effectively for precise measurements.
Mechanical knowledge of ductwork installation, sheet metal fabrication, soldering techniques, and assembly processes.
Strong understanding of safety protocols in manufacturing or construction environments along with adherence to OSHA regulations.
