GLO Resources is currently hiring a seasoned Design Engineer in Gulfport, Mississippi. You will be working for a company that specializes in steel fabrication and manufacturing. The position is full time, Monday – Friday. The pay range will be between $95,000 - $130,000/yr DOE with possible relocation assistance available.

Position Summary:

The ideal candidate is a proficient and imaginative professional at the forefront of transforming conceptual ideas into tangible, market-ready products. You must understand engineering principles, utilize advanced computer-aided design (CAD) software to craft detailed plans and specifications.

Responsibilities and Duties

Expected to obtain a Class B Commercial Driver’s License with tanker endorsement within 9 months.
Will learn to program truck ECU/TCU within 3 months.
Will learn and use our AS400 manufacturing system within 3 months.
Will become proficient in the product cost and specifications in order to reconcile quote to build process.
Will become proficient in safe and effective product design based on government regulations and customer expectations.
Will become proficient in DOT laws as they pertain to truck operations within 3 months.
Will be trained in the design of the following for various products:
Vacuum Pump
Jetter Pump
PTO
Hydraulic Systems
Pneumatic Systems
Specifications/modifications as they pertain to:
40 Coded Federal Regulations
Customer’s Requirements
Tank Design

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or Mechanical Engineering- REQUIRED
5-10 years’ experience designing with sheet metal.
Advanced proficiency with CAD and SolidWorks (2D and 3D)
Knowledge in hydraulic design and operations
Knowledge in 12 VOLT DC electrical systems design and operations
Knowledge in finite element analysis methodologies
Interest in metal fabrication.
Must be self-starter and motivated to bring projects to successful completion on time
Ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Valid Driver’s License
