Northern Energy Services – Structural Welder/Fabricator – North Slope

General Description

NES is looking for Highly Skilled Certified Welders/Fabricators on the North Slope of Alaska working in Prudhoe Bay, Kuparuk and Western North Slope.

Welders/Fabricators primary responsibility is reading blueprints/drawings taking measurements, plan layouts, determine what welding equipment and methods to use based on requirements, set-up components to specifications, prepare and align parts for welding, join together components, repair existing structures and cut materials. Must be capable of passing 1G, 2G and 3G welding tests processes, SMAW, FCAW. Capable of welding Stainless and Duplex Stainless Steel is a plus.

Candidate must have knowledge of and experienced with reading and understanding quality requirements engineering standards and specifications. They must also comply with all mandatory safety requirements.

This position is on the North Slope of Alaska which is an Arctic Environment. Work rotation is to be determined and may vary depending on project requirements.

Essential Duties and Job Requirements

· Conduct a high output of quality welding operations

· Plan and lay out projects with little to no supervision

· Perform other duties as required

· Comply with company and customer policies and procedures.

· Monitor equipment operation and identify malfunctions

· Report all incidents involving injuries, spills, equipment malfunction or damage to the supervisor.

· Support zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.

Minimum Experience

· High School Diploma or GED

· Five years of welding/fabricating experience

· Arctic oilfield experience is preferred

Job Requirements

· North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC) safety training certification
