Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Fire Alarm Technician to join our team! Responsibilities

Install fire alarm systems by reading blueprints, schematics, and system design documents to ensure accurate setup according to NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
Conduct construction inspections to verify proper placement of sensors, control panels, and low-voltage wiring in compliance with safety regulations.
Perform routine system testing and troubleshooting using hand tools, power tools, and CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software to diagnose issues efficiently.
Maintain detailed records of system configurations, service reports, and inspection logs for compliance and quality assurance purposes.
Service fire alarm systems in the field by replacing sensors, adjusting alarms, and ensuring all components operate seamlessly.
Collaborate with construction teams during new builds or renovations to integrate fire alarm systems effectively into the overall project design.
Provide exceptional field service by responding promptly to service calls, performing repairs, upgrades, and system sales consultations as needed.

Experience

Proven experience as a fire alarm or security system technician with a strong background in electrical work and low voltage systems.
Hands-on experience reading schematics, blueprints, and system design documents related to fire alarm installations.
Knowledge of CAD software for system layout planning is preferred but not required.
Construction inspection experience with a focus on fire sprinkler fitting or mechanical systems is highly desirable.
Familiarity with the NEC (National Electrical Code), sensors, alarms, and fire alarm sales processes enhances your effectiveness in this role.
Service technician experience working with alarm systems or fire alarm sales provides a solid foundation for success.
Ability to utilize hand tools and power tools safely while adhering to safety protocols is essential for daily tasks.
