You've seen it all, fixed most of it, and you're the tech other techs call when they're stuck. You want a shop that pays for that experience, trusts your judgment and gives you work worth your skill level.

Alliance Heating & Air Conditioning has kept Connecticut comfortable since 1979. We're a family-run team of about 70, we're growing, and we're looking for a seasoned technician ready to lead by example in the hive.

THE ALLIANCE ADVANTAGE:

Pay that respects your experience: $45–$57/hr based on licenses, experience and skill, plus overtime (up to about 50 hrs/week in peak season).
On-call that pays: time-and-a-half plus $50 for every call you run ($100 on holidays). The rotation comes around about every 2–3 weeks, and Sundays are covered.
$1,500 sign-on bonus.
Take-home truck and fuel card.
Time off from day one: 10 PTO days to start, plus extra days you can earn for callback-free work.
401(k) with a 3% company match
Tools covered: a $200 annual tool allowance, and we supply the big-ticket equipment: recovery machines, vacuum pumps, combustion analyzers, ECM motor testers and more.
Uniforms provided and cleaned by our uniform service.
A predictable week: Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri 7:30–4; Wed 7–4.
Work nobody else gets to touch: a 70/30 residential/commercial mix, plus specialty work including wine cellars, indoor pools, equestrian facilities, clean rooms, greenhouses and museum-quality environments.
Keep sharpening your edge: manufacturer training throughout the year and an apprenticeship program toward additional licenses, with annual raise reviews on your anniversary.
Comprehensive healthcare: medical, dental and vision coverage for you and your family, plus 24/7 virtual care and everyday wellness perks.

YOUR IMPACT:

Diagnostic Authority: Take on the toughest calls: complex, unusual and specialty systems, repeat problems and escalations from other techs. Find the root cause and fix it the first time.
Make the right call: Use independent judgment on repair-or-replace decisions for residential, commercial and specialty equipment, and explain your reasoning clearly.
Protect the equipment: Perform detailed preventive maintenance that keeps systems running safely and efficiently for years.
Credibility is our Currency: Communicate professionally, respect every home and leave every customer confident in the work.
Own the details: Complete work orders in ServiceTitan with clear notes and photos, and keep your truck stocked and organized.
Be there when it counts: Take your turn in the on-call rotation that keeps our customers covered 24/7.
Lift the hive: Be the go-to technical resource for apprentices and newer techs. Share what you know in the field and help raise the skill level of the whole department. (This is a senior technical role, not a management role. You won't supervise or schedule others.)

THE STANDARD:

5+ years of hands-on HVAC field service experience
Active Connecticut D-2 or S-2 journeyperson license (or D-1 / S-1)
EPA Section 608 certification (Universal preferred)
OSHA 10 certification
Valid driver's license and an insurable driving record
Your own full set of HVAC hand tools
