Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Mechanic to join our aerospace maintenance team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in aircraft and avionics systems, with a strong background in mechanical and electrical repair, fabrication, and precision measurement. This role involves performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of aircraft to ensure safety, compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR), and operational readiness. The Aircraft Mechanic will work closely with engineering and quality assurance teams to uphold industry standards such as AS9100 and utilize advanced CAD tools like CATIA and AutoCAD for technical documentation and fabrication.

Duties

Conduct routine inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on aircraft airframes, engines, avionics, and associated systems.
Utilize schematics, technical manuals, and Wiring drawings to diagnose issues accurately.
Perform assembly, disassembly, and fabrication of aircraft components using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, ammeters, ohmmeters, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
Execute root cause analysis to identify underlying problems affecting aircraft performance or safety.
Repair or replace damaged sheet metal parts using welding techniques; fabricate components as needed for maintenance or upgrades.
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities within CMMS systems in compliance with FAA regulations.
Ensure all work complies with FAA regulations, FARs, and industry standards including AS9100 quality management system requirements.
Assist in the calibration and testing of electrical systems using multimeters and other diagnostic tools such as soldering stations.
Support heavy lifting tasks safely by following proper procedures for handling large or heavy components.
Collaborate with team members on continuous improvement initiatives related to manufacturing processes or equipment repair.

Requirements

Proven experience as an Aircraft Mechanic or similar role within the aviation industry; military aviation experience is highly desirable.
Strong mechanical knowledge of aircraft systems including airframe structures, powerplant mechanics, avionics, electrical systems, and sheet metal fabrication..
Experience working with precision measuring instruments like micrometers, calipers, ammeters, ohmmeters, CMMs.
Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) pertaining to aircraft maintenance and safety standards.
Ability to perform welding using various techniques; Soldering skills are a plus.
Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools including power drills and welding equipment.
Familiarity with CMMS software for maintenance tracking.
Electrical experience including troubleshooting electrical circuits using multimeters or ammeters.
Ability to lift heavy components safely and perform physically demanding tasks regularly.
Strong problem-solving skills with experience in root cause analysis.
Relevant certifications or licenses in aircraft maintenance preferred but not mandatory; equivalent hands-on experience is required. Pay: $30.00 - $65.00 per hour
