Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician

$75,000-85,000, 2nd & 3rd Shift

This is a highly skilled multi-craft maintenance role responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical and mechanical equipment throughout the plant. The position supports production reliability by troubleshooting complex systems including PLCs, motors, boilers, compressors, pumps, conveyors, HVAC, and building utilities.
Key Responsibilities Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting

Provide emergency and scheduled repairs on production and utility equipment.
Troubleshoot, program, and maintain PLCs and HMIs.
Diagnose and repair electrical systems including transformers, motors, lighting, and power circuits.
Install, overhaul, modify, and maintain mechanical and electrical systems.
Perform product line changeovers as needed.
Replace defective components including motors, VFDs, gears, switches, wiring, and electronic parts.

Preventive Maintenance & Utilities

Perform preventive and predictive maintenance activities.
Maintain refrigeration, HVAC, and high/low-pressure boiler systems.
Support building electrical systems, lighting systems, and utility equipment.
Assist sanitation and facilities teams as required.

Safety & Compliance

Perform all duties in compliance with GMP, food safety, and safety regulations.
Follow company policies and report safety or quality concerns.
Maintain clean and organized work areas.
Be available for emergency call-outs and weekend work as required.

Qualifications Required

Technical degree or equivalent experience.
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in:
- PLC installation, programming, and troubleshooting
- HMI and controls systems
- Electrical motors, VFDs, and control systems
- Building electrical systems and lighting
- Refrigeration and HVAC systems
- High- and low-pressure boiler systems
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Working knowledge of electrical safety and electronic systems.
Strong math and communication skills.
Fluent in English (read, write, speak).

Preferred

Knowledge of GMP environments and chemical handling procedures.

Physical Requirements

Prolonged standing and walking.
Climbing, crawling, bending, squatting.
Lifting up to 50 lbs.
