Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Assistant Superintendent specializing in Sheet Metal to join our construction management team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the coordination and supervision of sheet metal installation projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, and within budget. Your leadership will drive quality control, adherence to safety standards, and seamless communication across project teams. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale construction projects by managing daily operations on-site and supporting project managers with planning and execution.

Responsibilities

Supervise sheet metal installation activities on construction sites, ensuring compliance with project specifications and safety regulations.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to develop detailed work schedules using Primavera P6 or similar construction management software.
Monitor project progress through blueprint reading, schematics analysis, and site inspections to maintain quality standards.
Coordinate procurement and delivery of materials using HeavyBid or other estimating tools, ensuring timely availability of resources.
Conduct regular safety audits in accordance with OSHA standards and enforce safety protocols among team members.
Manage subcontractor performance, supervise onsite personnel, and provide guidance to ensure efficient workflow.
Maintain accurate documentation including contracts, change orders, daily reports, and quality control records using Bluebeam or comparable digital tools.

Skills

Extensive experience with construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, and HeavyBid.
Proven track record in construction site management with a focus on sheet metal projects or similar trades.
Strong understanding of construction estimating, budgeting, and project scheduling processes.
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately; familiarity with Ohmmeter use for quality testing is a plus.
Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and best practices for construction site safety management.
Supervising experience with a focus on managing teams effectively in fast-paced environments.

Pay: $26.59 - $32.02 per hour
