Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled HVAC Service Technician to join our team and deliver exceptional heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and mechanical services. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and installing a wide range of HVAC systems and related equipment across various property types. Your expertise will ensure optimal system performance, energy efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities

Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance on HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration units (including ammonia refrigeration), plumbing fixtures, and mechanical equipment.
Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and execute repairs.
Install new HVAC equipment and systems in accordance with industry standards and safety regulations.
Conduct field service operations involving appliance repair, equipment calibration, welding, ohmmeter testing, and mechanical adjustments.
Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and reports documenting all activities performed.
Assist with property maintenance tasks such as plumbing repairs or boiler servicing as needed.
Operate a driver vehicle safely for on-site visits or equipment transport.
Use specialized tools including welders and ohmmeters to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults effectively.
Collaborate with team members on complex projects involving HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) systems design or upgrades.
Ensure all work complies with safety standards and local codes while providing excellent customer service.

Experience

Proven experience as a service technician within the HVAC industry or related mechanical fields.
Strong knowledge of HVAC systems including air conditioning units, refrigeration (including ammonia refrigeration), boilers, plumbing systems, and appliance repair.
Familiarity with schematics, HVAC design principles, and property maintenance procedures.
Mechanical knowledge complemented by hands-on experience in equipment repair, welding, and maintenance tasks.
Experience working in field service environments with a focus on property upkeep or technical troubleshooting.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating driver vehicles preferred.
Additional skills such as welding certification or experience with refrigeration systems are highly advantageous.
