Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Experienced Fabricator/Welder to join our dynamic manufacturing and construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components with precision and expertise. Your mechanical knowledge, attention to detail, and hands-on experience will contribute to the successful completion of complex projects across various industries. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse materials, including sheet metal and pipework, utilizing advanced welding techniques and fabrication tools to produce high-quality structures and components.

Duties

Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine specifications for fabrication and welding projects
Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux Core Arc Welding), and welding techniques to join metals accurately according to industry standards
Operate power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and machining equipment to cut, shape, and assemble metal parts
Use calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments to ensure components meet exact dimensions
Fabricate ductwork, piping, structural steel, and sheet metal assemblies in accordance with ASME codes & standards
Conduct rigging, pipe threading, soldering, and assembly tasks for various fabrication projects on construction sites or manufacturing facilities
Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols related to crane operation, forklift handling, scaffolding, and mechanical equipment
Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot fabrication issues and optimize processes for efficiency and quality

Requirements

Proven construction site experience with a strong understanding of safety procedures and site protocols
Demonstrated expertise in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW welding, welding, and plasma cutting techniques
Ability to read complex blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
Proficiency in using calipers, micrometers, hand tools, power tools, and machining equipment
Mechanical knowledge of fabrication processes including pipe threading, assembly, ductwork installation, and sheet metal work
Experience operating cranes or forklifts is preferred but not mandatory; certification is a plus
Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks
Knowledge of ASME codes & standards applicable to welding and fabrication projects
Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills in fast-paced environments
