MG Mechanical Contracting, Inc. is a leader in the installation and maintenance of HVAC systems in the Chicagoland area. We have been in business for almost 30 years and specialize in projects for the Commercial, Education, Health Care, and Industrial sectors. We are looking to add 1 -2 project managers to our construction department to augment our continued growth. Our intention is to hire one entry level assistant project manager with 1-3 years of construction experience and a more seasoned project manager with 5-10 years of experience in Mechanical Contracting Project Management. The position will be based primarily in the office at 1513 Lamb Road, Woodstock, IL with occasional site visits required.

PROJECT MANAGER DUTIES:

Take complete responsibility for the implementation of the project from the turnover meeting with the Estimating Department to the end of the project warranty. The Entry-level position will learn the following and the lead project contact will:

· Participate in final negotiation of contracts with subcontractors and suppliers

· Prepare final contract for subcontractors and suppliers

· Obtain and prepare engineering submittals and follow process completely through approval and implementation.

· Participate in project planning with the Owner

· Work as a team with the field lead to manage the project objectives – Safety, Quality, Schedule, and Budget adherence

· Participate in internal meetings to update job status and manpower requirements

· Update the Owner of the project status and attend or lead site meetings

· Understand our contract with the Owner and ensure that we are being treated fairly

· Price and Manage contract change orders

· Coordinate to Resolve issues with Owner and Subcontractors

· Assist in Processing payment requests with the Accounting Staff

· Prepare close-out documentation, and close out projects.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
