Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented saw operator.

In this role, you will be responsible for operating various cutting and machining equipment to process steel and sheet metal components accurately and efficiently. Your expertise will ensure that materials are cut to precise specifications.

Responsibilities

Operate automatic cold saw and band saw
Read and interpret job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements to ensure accurate cuts
Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and setup of machinery to maintain optimal performance.
Conduct quality inspections using micrometers, calipers, precision measuring instruments, and visual checks
Use hand tools, cranes, forklifts, and other equipment safely for material handling
Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols at all times
Perform various physical tasks including pulling orders, metal material handling, and loading on trucks for delivery

Qualifications

Proven experience operating saws, plasma cutters, press brakes, CNC mills/lathes, or similar equipment
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot machinery issues quickly
Familiarity with decimals, fractions, and basic math skills for precise measurements
Ability to operate forklifts and cranes safely; certification is a plus
Excellent attention to detail
Strong communication skills
Proficient in speaking, writing and reading English
Ability to work on feet for hours and tolerate temperature extremes both inside and outside in an open warehouse
