Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our growing team, focused on solar PV systems, battery energy storage, and EV charging infrastructure. This role is primarily field-based and involves installing, troubleshooting, and servicing residential and light commercial electrical systems that support clean energy solutions.

You will play a key role in delivering safe, code-compliant installations, including solar interconnections, battery backups, EV chargers, and occasional main panel upgrades (MPUs) and general electrical work. Duties

Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems supporting solar PV, battery storage, and EV charging systems
Perform main panel upgrades (MPUs), subpanel installations, load-side and line-side connections, and service equipment replacements
Install and wire EV chargers (Level 2 and higher) in residential and light commercial settings
Execute AC-side solar electrical work including inverters, disconnects, combiner panels, and interconnections
Assist with battery storage system installations, including system wiring, commissioning support, and troubleshooting
Read and interpret electrical plans, single-line diagrams, and schematics specific to solar and storage systems
Ensure all work complies with NEC, local codes, and utility requirements
Use electrical testing equipment (multimeters, clamp meters, etc.) to diagnose and resolve issues
Perform service calls, system diagnostics, and maintenance for existing solar + storage systems
Serve as the project superintendent and coordinate as needed with project managers, installers to complete projects efficiently.
Oversee crew consisting of apprentice electricians and labor staff.
Maintain clean and accurate documentation of work performed, including as-builts and service reports
Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized job site

Qualifications

Valid CA Journeyman Electrician license
Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Training Program (EVITP) Certification preferred
Proven experience in residential or commercial electrical work, ideally including solar, storage, or EV charging
Strong understanding of NEC code, especially Articles related to solar (690), storage (706), and EV charging (625)
Experience with main service panel upgrades, load calculations, and electrical service work
Ability to read and interpret single-line diagrams, electrical plans, and schematics
Proficiency with electrical tools, testing equipment, and installation best practices
Experience with solar inverters, battery systems, or EV chargers is highly preferred (training can be provided for the right candidate)
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in field conditions
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Clean driving record and ability to travel to job sites

Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
