Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Journeyman Electrician to join our team working on hyperscale data center project in Cedar Rapids, IA. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge electrical installations in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in electrical systems, construction site experience, and a passion for precision and safety. Position includes a $145.00 7-day per diem.

Duties

Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems in hyperscale data centers, ensuring compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute wiring and system layouts.
Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized electrical equipment such as ohmmeters and low voltage testers to complete tasks efficiently.
Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and industrial control systems to support automation components.
Perform high voltage and low voltage wiring installations, ensuring safety protocols are strictly followed.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other trades to coordinate installation activities during renovation or new construction phases.
Maintain detailed documentation of work performed and assist in troubleshooting complex electrical issues on-site.

Skills

Proven experience as an industrial or commercial electrician with construction site exposure.
Strong knowledge of NEC standards, schematics, blueprints reading, and electrical codes.
Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other electrical testing devices.
Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automation systems.
Ability to interpret technical drawings including schematics for complex electrical systems.
Familiarity with high voltage (HV) and low voltage (LV) electrical installations.
Hands-on experience with renovation projects within existing facilities or new construction sites.
