Duties

Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of carpentry construction projects, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and safety protocols.
Oversee daily site operations, supervising subcontractors and construction crews to maintain high standards of quality and safety compliance.
Develop detailed project schedules using construction management software to track progress and identify potential delays early.
Manage project budgets by monitoring costs, reviewing contracts, and implementing cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
Read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings thoroughly to ensure accurate implementation of design specifications.
Utilize tools such as ProCore, and CompanyCam for project documentation, estimating, and communication with stakeholders.
Conduct regular site inspections to enforce OSHA standards, quality control measures, and safety protocols; address any issues promptly.
Coordinate procurement activities for materials and equipment using construction management software; ensure timely delivery aligned with project schedules.
Review contracts and change orders meticulously; negotiate terms with vendors and subcontractors to optimize project outcomes.
Implement rigorous quality control procedures; perform inspections using tools such as ohmmeters for electrical systems when necessary.
Lead project meetings with clients, architects, engineers, and internal teams to communicate progress updates and resolve issues swiftly.

Experience

Proven experience in general contracting and commercial construction management with a strong background in supervising medium to large-scale projects.
Extensive knowledge of construction site operations including safety regulations (OSHA), blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction estimating.
Management skills with a history of supervising teams and subcontractors effectively while fostering a collaborative work environment.
Familiarity with contracts negotiation and administration; experience managing budgets from initial estimates through project closeout.
Hands-on experience in construction site activities including quality control inspections and troubleshooting technical issues such as electrical or mechanical systems using appropriate tools like ohmmeters.
Ability to read technical drawings accurately; experience working on pipeline projects or other heavy infrastructure is a plus.
