Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Low Voltage Electrician specializing in Direct Current (DC) systems to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting low voltage electrical systems with a focus on DC current applications. Your expertise will ensure the safe and efficient operation of electrical infrastructure across various construction and renovation projects, including commercial and industrial sites. Responsibilities

Install, inspect, and repair low voltage electrical systems with an emphasis on DC current applications, ensuring compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams related to low voltage wiring and control systems.
Use hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other electrical testing equipment to diagnose and resolve system issues efficiently.
Collaborate with project teams to plan wiring layouts and ensure proper integration with high voltage systems during construction or renovation phases.
Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including inspection reports, schematics updates, and system modifications.
Follow safety protocols rigorously to prevent electrical hazards on construction sites or within operational facilities.
Assist with troubleshooting programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other automation components integral to low voltage control systems.

Requirements

Proven experience as an industrial or commercial electrician with a strong background in low voltage electrical systems, particularly DC current applications.
Familiarity with NEC regulations, schematics reading, blueprint interpretation, and electrical code compliance.
Hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment essential for electrical work.
Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, high voltage systems, and renovation projects involving electrical upgrades.
Construction site experience demonstrating the ability to work safely in dynamic environments while managing multiple tasks.
Strong understanding of frame carpentry and handyman skills to support installation and maintenance activities.
Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members and interpreting technical documentation effectively.

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 50.0 per week
