Custom Metal Manufacturing Company located in Central Phoenix, in business since 1995, manufacturer of stainless steel products; specializing in commercial kitchens..... Opportunity for an experienced laser operator to join our dynamic team!

Experience with laser cutting machines, CNC’s or other machining experience is preferred. Restaurant Kitchen Equipment experience a plus!

Requirements:

 Sets up and operates Mazak Optonic laser machine to cut sheet metal parts to blueprint/drawing specifications.

 Operates laser equipment to perform cutting on a variety of materials in various thicknesses

 Must organize and identify / label different grades and thickness of materials

 Able to follow written and verbal instructions

 Identify and pull programs from network to load and run in machine.

 PC skills and Basic AutoCAD fundamental skills are useful

 Able to edit existing parameters and programs

 Conducts 1st piece, intermediate intervals and final part inspections

 Verifies conformance of parts to specifications.

 Uses inspection gauging, measuring devices, and instruments correctly and effectively

 Performs paperwork requirements, tracks inventory usage and other duties as assigned and writes legibly

 Must clean optics and select specific heads and nozzles based on material being cut.

 Troubleshoots and corrects poor cutting conditions.

 General knowledge of adjustments (turns w/ mirrors/lenses on laser) Familiar with the gases used to cut product. (Nitrogen, Argon, Oxygen and Helium)

 Perform preventative maintenance on laser equipment and maintain spare parts inventory of laser machine, nozzles, seals, etc
