Overview
We are seeking a reliable and organized Service Coordinator to manage service scheduling and customer communication for our plumbing company on Hilton Head Island.

Our company works primarily with property management companies that manage vacation rental homes, so this role requires strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate service quickly during the busy tourist season.

The Service Coordinator will schedule technicians, communicate with property managers and homeowners, and ensure service calls are handled efficiently.

Responsibilities

Answer incoming service requests from clients
Schedule plumbing service calls and coordinate technician routes
Dispatch technicians and adjust schedules throughout the day
Communicate job details, arrival windows, and updates to customers
Coordinate emergency service calls during peak season
Maintain work orders and update job status in company software
Follow up with customers and property managers after service calls
Maintain accurate customer and property records
Assist with scheduling return visits when parts are required

This is a hybrid role with a clear, consistent weekly schedule. Two mornings per week you come to our HHI office for approximately 1-2 hours to manage deliveries and get crews set up. Everything else is done remotely from home.

Weekly schedule:

Friday: 8am–5pm | 2 hrs on-site + remote
Saturday: 8am–5pm | fully remote
Monday: 8am–5pm | 2 hrs on-site + remote
Tuesday: 8am–5pm | fully remote
Wednesday, Thursday & Sunday: always off

Qualifications

Previous dispatching, scheduling, or customer service experience preferred
Experience in plumbing, HVAC, or maintenance scheduling a plus
Strong phone and communication skills
Ability to prioritize urgent service calls
Highly organized and detail oriented
Comfortable using computers and scheduling software

Compensation

$20–$24/hr based on experience
32 hours per week, year-round
Consistent schedule — no rotation, no surprises
Mostly remote with two short on-site mornings per week
Professional, repeat client base — primarily property managers

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
