Your Team

The Construction Team is responsible for building the physical environments that shape the Bolt Farm experience. That includes new treehouses, infrastructure, and guest-facing spaces across the mountain. The team’s work is hands-on, highly visible, and directly tied to what guests see, feel, and remember when they arrive on property.

This is a team for people who take real pride in building meaningful work. The scope includes a mix of carpentry, infrastructure support, equipment operation, trim-out, and detail work, all held to a high standard of execution and finish. As Bolt Farm continues to grow, this team is helping bring that next phase to life - creating spaces that are not only functional, but lasting, beautiful, and central to the larger guest experience.

Your Role

As the Construction Superintendent, you will lead day-to-day execution of active construction projects on the mountain while directly managing the construction crew responsible for building and finishing guest-facing spaces. This is a hands-on field leadership role for someone who can keep work moving, maintain a high bar for quality and fit-and-finish, and create structure, accountability, and momentum across the team.

This role matters now because Bolt Farm needs stronger day-to-day leadership capacity in the field, not just another skilled builder. The right person will translate plans into clean execution, build more repeatable systems and operating rhythms as the construction function scales, and help ensure projects move forward in a way that is organized, compliant, and built to a high standard. For the right person, this is a chance to lead visible work, shape a growing team, and directly influence the quality and pace of what gets built on the mountain.

Responsibilities

Lead day-to-day construction execution across active projects, with direct accountability for output, quality, safety, and pace
Set daily and weekly priorities for the crew, assign work clearly, and keep projects moving through changing site conditions and competing demands
Maintain a visible, hands-on presence in the field by removing bottlenecks, answering questions, and stepping into the work when needed
Read plans, drawings, and scopes of work, then translate them into executable tasks, sequencing, and expectations for the team
Build and strengthen field systems, planning rhythms, and execution standards that help the construction team scale more effectively as Bolt Farm grows
Ensure high standards for fit, finish, and first-pass quality across carpentry, trim-out, infrastructure support, and guest-facing final details
Coordinate materials, equipment, takeoffs, vendors, subcontractors, and jobsite readiness so the crew can work efficiently without unnecessary downtime
Oversee infrastructure-related work and compliance coordination as needed, including water, utilities, septic, sewer, permitting, inspections, and interaction with local municipalities or regulatory bodies
Coach, onboard, and develop Construction Technicians; give clear feedback, reinforce standards, and address performance issues early
Track project progress, labor efficiency, rework, and site issues; communicate updates and escalate major risks or resource needs as needed

Minimum Requirements

At least 5+ years of hands-on experience in carpentry, construction, remodeling, or a similar field, including 2+ years leading construction crews or field teams
Experience planning and assigning daily work on active jobsites while maintaining quality, safety, and productivity
Experience reading plans, drawings, and scopes of work and overseeing carpentry, trim-out, and general construction execution
Working knowledge of building codes, inspections, permitting, and active jobsite compliance requirements
Experience coordinating field infrastructure scope such as utilities, water, septic, sewer, inspections, or related site-development work
Reliable transportation and ability to work on-site in Whitwell, Tennessee, work extended days, handle physically demanding outdoor conditions, and provide your own basic carpentry hand tools

Nice to Have

Experience leading crews in custom residential, hospitality, resort, or other detail-sensitive construction environments
Experience with excavation, underground utilities, plumbing-related construction, or site infrastructure work
Experience operating skid steers, mini excavators, or similar construction equipment
OSHA certification or other relevant equipment or safety credentials

Compensation

Base salary band: $100,000-$125,000
Target bonus: 15% of base
Maximum Exceptional bonus: 25% of base
Target total end of year compensation: $120,000 - $144,000

Pay: $100,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
