Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled HVAC Maintenance Technician to join our team. You will install, service, and repair heating and air conditioning systems for our apartment communities in the south Dayton market. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse property maintenance projects, troubleshoot complex equipment issues, and deliver exceptional service to our residents in a fast-paced environment. As an integral part of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe, efficient, and comfortable environment across multiple facilities. Your expertise in HVAC systems and mechanical knowledge will drive your success in this energetic and rewarding position.

Duties

Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on HVAC systems, including air conditioning units.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues using schematics, technical manuals, and testing tools such as ohmmeters.
Conduct equipment repairs involving welding, plumbing, electrical wiring, and component replacement to ensure system reliability.
Read and interpret HVAC design plans and schematics to accurately install or service systems according to specifications.
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and system performance logs for compliance and future reference.
Assist with field service operations by responding promptly to service requests at various property sites.
Operate your own vehicle safely to transport tools, parts, or equipment between locations as needed. Mileage expense to be reimbursed.

Requirements

Proven experience as an HVAC service technician or in a similar property maintenance role with construction or mechanical background.
Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in equipment repair including boilers, refrigeration units, air conditioning systems, and appliances.
Familiarity with schematics, HVAC design principles, plumbing systems, ammonia refrigeration technology, and electrical troubleshooting techniques.
Ability to use diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters effectively for troubleshooting electrical components.
Experience working with field service operations in commercial or industrial settings is highly desirable.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Knowledge of welding techniques a plus.

Pay: $28.00 - $33.00 per hour
