Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Electrician to oversee electrical projects across various construction and renovation sites. This role is vital in ensuring that all electrical systems are installed, maintained, and repaired safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry standards such as the National Electrical Code (NEC). As a Lead Electrician, you will coordinate teams, interpret schematics and blueprints, and ensure high-quality workmanship on every project. Your expertise will drive the success of our electrical operations while fostering a safe and productive work environment.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise electrical teams on construction sites, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and project timelines.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to execute precise installations and repairs.
Install, troubleshoot, and maintain low voltage and high voltage electrical systems using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment such as ohmmeters.
Program and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to support automation processes in industrial settings.
Conduct inspections of electrical systems during renovation projects to ensure compliance with NEC standards and safety regulations.
Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other trades like frame carpentry to coordinate installation efforts seamlessly.
Maintain detailed records of work performed, including schematics updates, inspection reports, and compliance documentation.

Requirements

Proven experience as an industrial or commercial electrician with a strong background in construction site work.
Extensive knowledge of electrical systems including low voltage, high voltage, NEC standards, and schematics reading.
Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other electrical testing devices.
Experience programming or troubleshooting programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately.
Hands-on experience with renovation projects involving electrical upgrades or new installations.
Strong understanding of safety protocols related to high voltage systems and construction environments.
Valid electrician license or certification as required by local regulations; additional certifications in low voltage or industrial electronics are a plus.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively while maintaining quality standards.
