Duties

Perform comprehensive auto body repairs including dent removal, frame straightening, and sheet metal work using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
Prepare vehicle surfaces through sanding, masking, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
Apply paint using airless spray guns or other advanced painting techniques such as auto painting and auto restoration processes.
Conduct MIG welding and soldering to repair or fabricate vehicle components with precision.
Replace or repair auto glass and perform detailing to achieve a flawless finish that exceeds customer expectations.
Utilize auto estimating software to assess damage and determine necessary repairs while maintaining high standards of quality control.
Assist with vehicle maintenance tasks including mechanical repairs, assembly, and heavy lifting as needed during the repair process.
Maintain a clean, organized workspace adhering to safety protocols while ensuring timely completion of all repairs.

Skills

Proven dealership experience or background in automotive repair is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of auto body repair techniques including sheet metal work and auto restoration projects.
Skilled in MIG welding, soldering, fabrication, and the use of various hand tools and power tools.
Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance, auto glass replacement, and automotive repair procedures.
Experience with auto painting methods such as airless paint spraying for durable finishes.
Familiarity with auto estimating software and customer service principles for effective communication with clients.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during auto detailing and assembly tasks.
Knowledge of automotive systems combined with mechanic experience enhances overall repair quality.
