Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Marine Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background and have experience with various marine systems and equipment. As a Marine Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining marine vessels to ensure optimal performance and safety on the water. This role requires a hands-on approach and the ability to work with power tools and specialized equipment.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues in marine vessels.
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on engines, electrical systems, and other critical components.
Utilize power tools effectively for various repair tasks.
Fabricate parts as needed using sheet metal techniques.
Solder connections and ensure proper wiring for electrical systems.
Conduct thorough inspections of vessels to identify potential issues before they become major problems.
Collaborate with other technicians and service staff to complete projects efficiently.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.

Qualifications

Strong mechanical knowledge with experience as a mechanic or service technician in the marine industry.
Familiarity with vehicle maintenance practices is preferred.
Proficiency in using power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques.
Ability to read technical manuals and schematics related to marine systems.
Previous experience in militarized environments is a plus but not mandatory.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and clients.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
