Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled HVAC Maintenance Technician to join our team and ensure the optimal operation of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and related mechanical systems. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of HVAC equipment across various property types. Your expertise will help keep environments comfortable, safe, and efficient while supporting property maintenance and service operations. Responsibilities

Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration units (including ammonia refrigeration), and plumbing fixtures.
Diagnose issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters to identify electrical or mechanical faults.
Repair or replace HVAC components such as compressors, fans, motors, valves, and controls to ensure system efficiency and safety.
Read and interpret HVAC design plans, schematics, and technical drawings to execute maintenance tasks accurately.
Conduct equipment repair for appliances related to property maintenance including refrigeration units and other mechanical systems.
Operate welding equipment and perform necessary repairs involving metal fabrication or component replacement.
Maintain detailed records of service activities, repairs performed, parts used, and system performance logs for compliance and future reference.

Requirements

Proven experience as a service technician with a strong background in HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration), plumbing, mechanical systems, or property maintenance.
Construction experience is preferred to understand building systems integration.
Knowledge of HVAC design principles along with the ability to read schematics and technical manuals.
Mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in equipment repair including boilers, pumps, valves, and ammonia refrigeration systems.
Field service experience with the ability to troubleshoot electrical systems using tools like ohmmeters.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; familiarity with driver requirements is a plus.
Certifications in HVAC/R or relevant trade licenses are highly desirable; welding certification is a bonus.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in diverse environments requiring physical activity such as climbing ladders or lifting heavy equipment.
