Assistant Construction Project Manager

Position Overview
A growing, full-service construction management firm is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the planning, coordination, and execution of commercial construction projects. This role works closely with senior project management staff to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to high quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in managing all phases of construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
Support budgeting, cost tracking, and change order management
Coordinate with subcontractors, consultants, and internal teams
Help maintain project schedules and monitor progress against milestones
Review drawings, specifications, and submittals for accuracy and completeness
Track RFIs, submittals, and project documentation
Participate in project meetings and maintain detailed meeting minutes
Assist with site visits to monitor construction progress and compliance
Ensure adherence to safety standards and company procedures

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field
1-4 years of experience in construction project management or related role
Strong organizational and communication skills
Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project)
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of construction processes, contracts, and documentation

Preferred Skills

Experience with commercial or institutional construction projects
Familiarity with budgeting and cost control processes
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
